The Big Day...

December 10, 2009, our little boy is no longer a baby, but a toddler. I think I only cried about five times today (J/K). So we took him for his annual birthday cut. He sat in the big boy chair the whole time!!! Man he is getting so big:)
He even helped the lady style his hair:)

Jakey posing in front of the tree with his new santa sippy and reindeer ears

and opening some more presents...

Then showing off his big boy undies...don't congratulate me yet, he's still not potty trained. I am just ready to try full force now that he's a big boy:)

This child loves umbrellas, so I bought him his own to break instead of mine:)

Then we threw him a birthday party tonight at Chuck E. Cheese's. He had a blast!!!!

Shootin hoops with daddy...look at that form:)

Driving one of many cars that night:)

Chuck E. singing Jakey Happy Birthday...

Then Jake got crowned the Birthday Boy!!!

Then Chuck E. came by to say hi and Jake didn't like him too much:)

Just makin sure that scary mouse was gone:)

The birthday cake

Jakey blowing out his birthday candles...

Then Jakey needed some help, so his buddy Alex helped him out with blowing the candles out.

Then our goofy family picture. I'm so good at taking lots of pics of Jake, but bad at making sure we as a family take some. So this was the one and only one we took, too funny:)

Piggin out on his cake:)

The whole gang that celebrated our baby's birthday with us!!!

and last but not least a picture with his girlfriend Gabby:)

It's Been Too Long

since I've blogged last, so here's what we've been up to...

Jake's 2 year dr. check up (keep in mind he is three days shy of being two): He weighed in at 28lbs and he is 37 1/2 inches tall. Such a big healthy boy!!!

Then we started getting ready for my favorite time of year...Christmas!!! Grandma Debbie took Jakey on the cho0-choo train at the mall.

Then daddy and Jakey picked out our Christmas tree...

and the finished product:)

and here are a few pics of Jakey just being Jakey:)

and a little late but this is our Thanksgiving pics...

grandpa and Jakey walking Lexie to the park...so cute!!!

Trick or Treat 09'

Jake's pre-Halloween shirt
Grandma Debbie bought Jake a cookie from the mall and this is the result:)
Then we ran into our old nanny and her daughter and Jake was in love with her and said her name "Gabby" right of the bat.

Our little cowboy:)

Jakey arresting the bad guy!!!

This was our group of trick or treaters we hung out with and as you can tell Jake was so scared when the boys put their masks on.

Jakey trick or treating without the help of mommy or daddy. Our little boy is getting so big:(

His first stop for candy all by himself...

And a cute picture to part with:)

Things to share...

We took the boat out once again, but this time it was freezing!!! I took a cute pic of my dad (papa) and Jake and wanted to share.
Then great grandma Marion and great grandpa Steve came to visit and we got to spend lots of time with them.

While we were at grandpa Brent and grandma Debbie's house we decided to all take a walk to a farm about half a mile from their house. They have giraffes, zebras, cows, chickens, horses, donkeys and goats!!!

Another Cali Trip...

My good friend Kari is going to be having a baby girl on Christmas Eve and her shower was two weeks ago in Cali. Scott couldn't get the weekend off, so Jakey and I went by ourselves. We took Jake to the mall/playground and I decided to try out the baby leash that we
have had since he was born. I am a little embarrassed to use it, seeing as it looks like my child is a dog on a leash. But he had a blast wearing it and a little freedom not being locked up in the stroller. Plus he looked adorable too:)

This was Jake after 15 minutes of driving in the car on our way home. He was a tuckered out little boy, he slept almost four hours straight!!!

Also while we were down there, my girlfriends and I took Jake to his first Pumpkin Patch. He had a lot of fun, but the one issue we had was that he wanted to ride EVERYTHING and unfortunately he was too small and they wouldn't let me go with him.

Jake posing for a picture, but not wanting to touch the hay...

Then we went to the petting zoo and he wanted to climb in the cage with the baby piggies.

Jakey with the chickens...He's saying bock, bock, bock:)

Jakey petting the goat... I swear these animals must've been on prozac or something, they just mozied around while all these little kids touched them.

Then we finally found a ride that would let me go on with him and he loved it!!! I couldn't get him off:)

And the last "ride" that Jake could go on himself. He was a little hesitant at first but once he saw that I wasn't going to leave him, he had fun.
